On the night of the 31st, the agency One Hundred released an official statement saying, "Today, The Boyz (THE BOYZ) member Hyunjae sustained an ankle injury while carrying out a live content session and was taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that part of his ankle ligament was torn."
Then it added, "Following the opinion of specialists, Hyunjae is expected to participate in the KBS2 'Music Bank' stage scheduled for tomorrow (August 1) while seated," and "We sincerely apologize to the fans who were looking forward to The Boyz's first comeback stage, and we will prioritize the artist's health and recovery status in future activities and will do our best to ensure a speedy recovery."
