Comedian Hong Hyun-hee has actively responded to the spread of 'counterfeit damage' for the brand she models for.
On the 31st, Hong Hyun-hee noted on her social account, "Recently, it has been reported that there are inducements to purchase goods through fraudulent websites, which have now been confirmed as illegal. To prevent damage caused by this, the brand is currently making efforts. Those who have already suffered damage should check the methods for relief through customer service or announcements."
Hong Hyun-hee is currently active as a model for a healthcare band brand. She formed a relationship with the company through the web entertainment program 'Negotiation King Season 5' and has continued to operate as a promotional model to this day.
However, after counterfeit sales occurred at unofficial sellers impersonating the brand, and as more individuals suffered damage, both the company and promotional model Hong Hyun-hee stepped up to provide relief.
In response, the company stated through its website announcements, "Recently, counterfeit products and unofficial sellers impersonating the brand have been identified. Products purchased from places that are not official sellers may be counterfeit, so we hope you will check the impersonation sites and sales methods to avoid damage," and noted, "If payment appears to be with a foreign card company or if a customs number is requested, it is likely counterfeit."
They further informed that, "Report to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is complete. Investigators have been assigned and are tracking the operators of the impersonation sites," and they provided updates on responses and countermeasures, saying, "Report for blocking access to fraudulent sites to the Korea Communications Commission," and "Monitor TikTok to report immediately upon discovering fraudulent ads and receive blocking requests."
Meanwhile, Hong Hyun-hee married interior designer Jasson in 2018 and has a son named Jun-beom.
