Actress Kim Nam-joo, known as 'the queen of discernment,' showcased various outfits suitable for vacation spots.
In the SBS Life program 'the queen of discernment, Kim Nam-joo,' aired on July 31, Kim Nam-joo was seen in a Q&A session celebrating the launch of her YouTube channel, as well as revealing her recommended vacation looks.
The first look featured a sky blue shirt paired with white shorts and an Hermès white Birkin bag. Kim Nam-joo said, "I went to Paris one year. At that time, I carried around an Hermès bag. Two French mothers came into the store and just dropped the Hermès bag down," adding, "I thought it was cool. I considered doing it too, but when I tried to put it on the sandy ground, I picked it back up again," which brought laughter.
The second look consisted of a vest paired with wide pants. Kim Nam-joo mentioned, "Young friends look pretty even if they wear just this. Vacation looks should be breezy. Long pants are for older people, but I, for instance, wear short sleeves underneath. I can't permit that," she said, shaking her head about exposure.
At the same time, Kim Nam-joo revealed various cover-up dresses and ways to wear a scarf. She noted, "I have something to brag about. This is not a scarf; it's a dress," adding, "I only wore it over my swimsuit before, but now I feel embarrassed, so I'll try wearing it like this."
Additionally, Kim Nam-joo made a cover-up dress using an Hermès scarf over her swimsuit. She expressed a wish, saying, "I can't go to the water in this. I'd love to live a life where I just drop my Hermès bag on the beach and wear my Hermès scarf while entering the water."
She relayed, "I can't go to the water. I sit on a sunbed and drink champagne. Our Lai-hee insisted we go on a girls' trip together. But she was surprised that I didn't pack a swimsuit," adding, "She was shocked. We're going to Southeast Asia, and she said she didn't bring a swimsuit. She thought her parents were playing with her instead of swimming with her."
The production team asked, "Do you have a preferred design for swimsuits?" and Kim Nam-joo replied, "I honestly can't wear a bikini anymore. It's disgusting," expressing revulsion. She noted, "When I was with Mystic, there was a halter neck design that suited mothers well. I'll reveal a photo later," displaying a delicate sheer shawl that garnered attention.
Meanwhile, in response to requests for recreating the hair and makeup coordination from her time with Mystic, Kim Nam-joo stated, "I'm grateful so many remember Go Hye-ran. If I do the Go Hye-ran hairstyle, it won't suit me. That was already seven years ago. The clothes back then don't feel right. My face has changed. If I do that hairstyle, it won't feel the same," she explained politely regarding aging.
Previously, she noted, "Our Lai-hee told me to introduce this for sure. She said, 'How pretty would I look in this?' But now I feel sorry", "Young Kim Nam-joo wore a hat here. It was a school uniform. She probably carried a rattan bag. The shoulder line also came out, and it looked pretty. Now it's a bit more...", "I used to be pretty. A person's feel changes. As you age, even if your weight stays the same, the feel changes. You all know that, right?" explaining her aging process naturally.
