The contrasting daily lives of couples who live apart yet feel closer will be revealed. tvN STORY's new variety program 'Each House Couple' has confirmed its first broadcast on Aug. 28 (Thursday) at 8 p.m. Actors Moon So-ri and broadcaster Park Myung-soo will team up as MCs to observe the honest and vibrant lives of 'Each House Couples.'
tvN STORY's 'Each House Couple' is an observational variety show about new normal married life, where couples who live apart feel closer. It will reveal the solo lives of couples who have been married for N years and live apart, making viewers more curious. The first teaser video released today (31st) features the daily lives of two couples who promised to be together forever after marriage but live apart for various reasons, in different houses.
There are two couples who answered firmly 'yes!' to the officiant's question, 'Will you be together forever?' They are the actor Moon So-ri and film director Jang Jun-hwan, and singer Kim Jeong-min and his wife Rumiko. However, 20 years after promising to be together forever, they are living their own lives, shuttling between Seoul and Jeju Island, and between Seoul and Japan for various reasons. Though they are family, they cook separately, eat separately, and sleep in separate beds. The contrasting lives of the wives who seem to live fiercely in their own spaces and the husbands who appear lonely draw attention. It raises curiosity about the stories behind the 'Each House Couples' who feel closer despite living apart.
Actor Moon So-ri and broadcaster Park Myung-soo will serve as MCs, drawing attention. Notably, Moon So-ri will make her first attempt as a variety show MC through this program, adding realistic empathy and authentic perspectives from the standpoint of living as an 'Each House Couple.' Along with Park Myung-soo's witty talk and keen observational skills, which have been proven through numerous variety shows, the stories of each couple are expected to be presented in a more diverse way. Unlike Moon So-ri, who lives as an 'Each House Couple' under two roofs, Park Myung-soo is known to live under one roof, providing different perspectives that will energize the program.
The production team explained, 'Each House Couple' is a differentiated observational variety show that goes beyond simple couple observation to shed light on the meaning of marriage and the changing forms of family in this era, focusing on new couple lifestyles. They plan to capture without filter the reasons couples choose to live apart, their feelings within that context, and their thoughts about each other. The realistic daily lives of couples living apart are expected to resonate with many, so we ask for your interest.'
