Boy group EVNNE has released a track preview for their new album 'LOVE ANECDOTE(S)'.
EVNNE shared the track preview for their fifth mini album 'LOVE ANECDOTE(S)' on their official SNS channel on the 30th, ahead of its release on August 4. The preview includes highlight sections that allow fans to catch a glimpse of all the tracks.
The track preview video features a sneak peek of the title track 'How Can I Do', along with included songs 'dirtybop', 'Mako', 'love chat', 'PUT IT ON ME', and 'Newest'. It also contains behind-the-scenes concept photos that match the atmosphere of each song.
The title track 'How Can I Do' is a hip-hop song that captures the members' unique relaxed and confident charm over funky drums and bass. The song humorously expresses their desire to lead love in their own way, showcasing bold rap and cheeky vocals.
'dirtybop', an included track, is a hybrid hip-hop song that reinterprets 90s hardcore hip-hop and Y2K electronic music, capturing raw energy that is unpredictable like a boomerang. 'Mako' portrays the moment a sea creature, the Mako shark, awakens as a predator, expressing a sense of liberation that bursts forth from repressed instincts with an impressive progression. 'love chat' is an R&B hip-hop song that harmonizes tension and release, ultimately conveying the theme that love must be entered into directly, rather than through words.
Songs in which the members participated in writing and composing also captivated the ears. 'PUT IT ON ME', co-written by Ji Yun-seo, is a funky pop song overflowing with free-spirited energy, cleverly conveying the members' assertive message that all problems and worries should be left to them. 'Newest', solely written by Keita and co-composed, showcases the more mature charm of EVNNE, presenting an old-school hip-hop track that reflects the group's name—'the newly evolved'.
EVNNE returns with a more mature appearance six months after their previous work 'HOT MESS'. Following the previous album, the members' participation in writing and composing in the new album allows listeners to experience a deeper musical color.
