Anchor Kim Jae-won expressed his feelings ahead of leaving 'Morning Yard' and resigning from KBS.
The KBS1 broadcast of 'Morning Yard' on the 31st featured the segment 'Blooming Life Lessons' with the theme 'Small Signals Threatening Old Age.'
Amidst life's lessons on eye, dental, and skin health, Kim Jae-won is left with one last lecture and said, "My heart has started to beat a little faster since a while ago. There is only one lecture left with 'Morning Yard.' On Thursday, the writer in charge asked me what I thought about doing the last lecture, and I declined. How could I give such a precious lecture? I should be listening to the wonderful people."
Kim Jae-won stated, "You don't have to feel sad that you can't see me. I might come to places near where you live. I could host a regional festival or give a lecture at a community center. I might also have a signing event. Don't worry, and if you want to hear my lessons, you can feel my heart by purchasing the book I wrote. Since important moments in life come, I think of my father and mother in heaven. My mom passed away 45 years ago, and my dad 25 years ago; I wish they were alive. In that sense, the viewers are my parents. I have approached broadcasting with the heart I would have for my parents, and while my book contains a long-held mourning, the messages I want to convey are in there. There are things I couldn't say, which can come up in various programs, so I will share them then."
Meanwhile, following Kim Jae-won, 50th batch anchor Park Cheol-kyu has been appointed as the new MC to team up with anchor Eom Ji-in. The production team stated, "We judged that anchor Park Cheol-kyu's positive energy and empathy align well with the values pursued by 'Morning Yard,'" adding, "Through the new synergy with existing MC Eom Ji-in, we will offer viewers an even fresher and more beneficial morning."
