Kim Geum-soon from 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' confesses her life as a goose mom.
On Aug. 1, KBS2's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereinafter 'Fun-Staurant') will reveal Kim Geum-soon's open educational philosophy. The 30-year veteran actress Kim Geum-soon, who became a hot topic for her role as Mi-hyang's mother in the popular series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', announced her entry as a chef in the last broadcast. Kim Geum-soon will share her tumultuous life story, her deep and caring daily life with her son, and unique Brazilian cuisine in 'Fun-Staurant', stirring hot discussions.
The VCR to be released that day introduced Kim Geum-soon's home. The house feels somewhat cramped for Kim Geum-soon and her eldest son. While discussing their home, Kim Geum-soon revealed her values regarding housing and education, drawing attention. Kim Geum-soon stated, "It doesn't matter where you live, whether it's a semi-basement studio or a short-term rental house where you take out all your deposit. What's important is that children live the life they want through diverse experiences."
Kim Geum-soon continued, "I think I've learned a lot from traveling during my life. Living with strangers in places with different cultures (overseas) teaches you a lot. I hope my two sons experience a broader world." Her eldest son also expressed, "Mom is really an open-minded person," showing his gratitude.
In fact, not only is Kim Geum-soon's youngest son currently studying abroad, but her eldest son has also been sent to study in the United States for basketball. To make this happen, Kim Geum-soon even took out the deposit from their house. She shared that she was a goose mom, saying, "I lived in a goshiwon (a type of low-cost housing) and a studio after taking out the deposit, and sometimes stayed with acquaintances."
