Actor Park Seong-il has been cast in Channel A's new weekend drama 'My lovely journey.'
Park Seong-il, who has left a strong impression with various faces in each of the works he has participated in, continues to stay busy, announcing his participation in 'My lovely journey' following his recent roles in the movie 'Wall To Wall' and the Wavve original drama 'S Line.'
'My lovely journey' (directed by Kang Sol, written by Jeong Hoe-hyeon) is a healing trip emotion drama that depicts the story of a travel reporter, who has never been the center of attention in his life, realizing true success and the meaning of life as he undertakes the travels commissioned to him.
In the drama, Park Seong-il plays the role of a veterinarian named Si-guk, who Summer (played by Gong Seung-yeon), a travel reporter with an idol background, encounters at the travel destination. Si-guk is a character who loves animals and has a warm humanity, adding warm energy to the client's story, which has a backstory of 'proxy travel,' enhancing the drama's appeal.
Park Seong-il, who debuted in the musical 'Subway Line 1' in 2004, is an all-rounder actor recognized for his skills as he crosses over from television to screen to stage. He captivates attention as a scene-stealer by elegantly embodying each role with his unique charm, notably leaving a deep impression as the mysterious and brutal Choi Pil-yeon in the film 'Lucky Monster,' and as Jaeseong, the rival organization boss opposing Ryu Seung-ryong in the drama 'Moving.' His performance as Mun Kyu-nam, a factory team leader who gets high from eating fake cookies in 'Haikuki,' has also focused attention.
Recently, he appeared in the Netflix movie 'Wall To Wall' as Yeom Hye-ran's husband, revealing a new face with every secret that arises regarding inter-floor noise, thereby heightening the tension in the film. In the Wavve original drama 'S Line,' he portrayed a Korean language teacher at the high school attended by Ah-rin and Lee Eun-saem, presenting interesting characters amid the incidents unfolding in the school, surprising viewers.
In addition, he has appeared in numerous works including the films 'The Love Law of the Big City,' 'Apgujeong,' 'Happy New Year,' 'Stone,' 'Samjin Group English TOEIC Class,' 'Exit,' and 'The Seed of Violence,' as well as dramas 'Secret Forest 2,' 'Method,' 'Romantic Doctor Kim Sa-bu 2,' 'When the Camellia Blooms,' and 'Melody is the Body,' showcasing a wide and solid acting spectrum.
Meanwhile, the new Channel A weekend drama 'My lovely journey,' featuring Park Seong-il, Gong Seung-yeon, Yoo Jun-sang, Kim Jae-young, Hong Soo-hyun, and Oh Hyun-jung, will premiere at 9:20 p.m. on Aug. 2.
