Announcer Kim Jae-won took part in his last 'Morning Yard'.
The KBS1 broadcast of 'Morning Yard' aired on the 31st and was arranged with the 'Flowering Life Lessons' corner.
The broadcast that day was delayed due to a special report on the conclusion of the Korea-U.S. trade negotiations. Meeting the viewers a bit late in his final live broadcast, announcer Kim Jae-won said, "I greeted you a little later than usual. I hope our country does really well in the future. As our country does well, 'Morning Yard' must do well, and Kim Jae-won must also do well.
Announcer Eom Ji-in, who returned from vacation, said, "The day has come when I have to talk about this," and announcer Kim Jae-won noted, "I greeted you a little later, perhaps because I was sad about our beautiful farewell, but I hope you will participate in the last 'Flowering Life Lessons' as well. It has been over 30 years since I joined KBS in 1995, and 28 years since I greeted you during the 'Morning Yard' Saturday event in April 1997. So, I plan to bid farewell, and I ask that you join me for a beautiful farewell."
Announcer Eom Ji-in said, "There is only one time a year when my family is overseas, and the whole week spent together is during my vacation, but it's a period of parting from announcer Kim Jae-won, so I was sad. I came straight to Yeouido from the plane to join the last broadcast."
Announcer Kim Jae-won expressed his determination, saying, "I want to thank the viewers for being with me during the past time, and I will do my best in today's final broadcast just like any other day."
The topic for that day was arranged as 'small signals threatening old age,' and announcer Kim Jae-won introduced, "The production team had a big picture. We carefully selected the parts I need to pay attention to after retirement. This was prepared as a special feature on Kim Jae-won's concerns for the elderly, such as eye health and skin health."
Meanwhile, announcer Kim Jae-won, who has been warmly greeting viewers' mornings for a long time while leading 'Morning Yard' from 2008 to 2013 and from May 2018 to now, has chosen to take voluntary retirement and is leaving KBS.
Following announcer Kim Jae-won, announcer Eom Ji-in will be matched up with MC Park Cheol-kyu, a 50th generation announcer. The production team noted, "We judged that announcer Park Cheol-kyu's positive energy and empathetic ability fit well with the values pursued by 'Morning Yard,'" and added, "Through a new collaboration with existing MC announcer Eom Ji-in, we will provide viewers with a fresher and more beneficial morning."
