Kim Yeon-ja introduced her signature, represented by the "North Korean hanbok," which has been quite active for over 50 years since her debut. This hanbok, notable for its vivid colors and ornate patterns, was worn when she first met Kim Jong-il, the former chairman of the National Defense Commission, during her first solo concert in North Korea in 2001. She added further value to the hanbok, stating that she "urgently sourced fabric from the Pyongyang Koryo Hotel and was introduced to someone who could make hanbok in North Korea." Upon the revelation of the estimated value of the "North Korean hanbok" at 1.5 billion won, Kim Yeon-ja appeared speechless as if it were beyond her expectations.
