Actor Kim Young-kwang showcased his impressive acting skills once again.
The Netflix series "Trigger," released on the 25th, is a gun disaster action thriller that depicts the story of two men who take up arms for their own reasons against the backdrop of illegally delivered firearms of unknown origin and a continuous stream of gun-related incidents in Korea. Kim Young-kwang plays the mysterious assistant Moon-baek, who helps Lee Do (played by Kim Nam-gil).
Moon-baek is a free-spirited character who, by chance, meets Lee Do and engages in unpredictable cooperation. Although he appears quirky and playful, he possesses exceptional athletic abilities and driving skills, making him a character of surprising charm. Kim Young-kwang naturally embodies a mischievous and witty demeanor while skillfully portraying a character that hides a meaningful inner self. He particularly heightened the tension of the play by hinting at a narrative hidden beneath the surface cheerfulness.
Previously, Kim Young-kwang demonstrated his ability to handle diverse characters by playing a serial killer in the Netflix series "Somebody" and an absolute villain in ENA's "The King's Affection." In this "Trigger," he portrays a mysterious character that showcases a different hue from his existing image, presenting a weighty and intense presence.
Kim Young-kwang, who showcased a limitless acting spectrum through "Trigger," is set to continue his momentum with the new KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday mini-series "Eun-soo's Good Day," which is scheduled to premiere on September 20. In "Eun-soo's Good Day," he is expected to make a unique transformation by portraying both the perfect young man and his dangerous side, raising expectations for Kim Young-kwang's performance.
