The group TOMORROW X TOGETHER proved their hot local popularity by sweeping the two major album charts in Japan.
According to the Oricon on the 31st, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) achieved 313,037 points with their 4th regular album 'Chapter of the Star: TOGETHER' in the latest 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' (as of Aug. 4, collection period: July 21-27), reaching the top. This was the highest score recorded by the team during the first week of release, surpassing their previous best, the 2nd regular album 'SWEET' (306,774 points). The ranking is determined by combining CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER ranked first on the 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' for the 12th time with this album. The new album also topped the 'Weekly Album Ranking' and 'Weekly Western Music Album Ranking' during the same period, achieving a triple crown on the Oricon weekly charts. It placed 2nd on the 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking.' The title track 'Beautiful Strangers' reached the team's highest position of 5th on the 'Weekly Streaming Ranking.' This reflects their increasingly heated popularity in the local area.
They continued to collect number one spots on Billboard Japan, announced on the 30th. The 4th regular album went straight to the top of 'Top Album Sales,' and the title track hit number one on the rapid-rise chart 'Hot Shot Songs.'
Their achievements on Line Music in Japan continued as well. The new album ranked first on the weekly album chart (collection period: July 23-29). This was an achievement following six consecutive days (July 22-27) at the top of the daily album chart right after the local release. The title track also maintained the number one spot on the daily song chart during the same period and recorded 2nd place on the weekly chart.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER secured first place on the cable channel MBC M and MBC every1's 'Show! Champion' broadcast on the 30th, kicking off their collection of trophies from domestic music shows. They will perform their new song on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' on Aug. 1, MBC's 'Show! Music Core' on the 2nd, and SBS's 'Inkigayo' on the 3rd.
