The group ENHYPEN's new single in Japan debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon chart.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon Japan on the 29th (as of July 28), ENHYPEN's fourth single in Japan, '宵 -YOI-' sold 307,483 copies upon its release, reaching the top of the 'Daily Single Ranking.'
Thus, ENHYPEN has shown their strength by placing all 16 singles and albums released in Korea and Japan on the daily chart at No. 1. This achievement, in particular, recorded the highest first-day sales among all of ENHYPEN's albums to date, boasting high local popularity.
The music video for the title track 'Shine On Me' topped the real-time chart of major local music site LINE MUSIC's 'Music Video Top 100.' Additionally, the music videos for ENHYPEN's mini album 6 'DESIRE : UNLEASH,' 'Outside' and 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' took the second and third places, respectively.
'宵 -YOI-' is ENHYPEN's Japanese single released after about two years, capturing the desires and instincts toward a loved one. The title track 'Shine On Me' is a ballad that highlights the members' soft vocals and delicate expression, and it has been inserted as the ending theme song for the Nihon TV series 'I Want to Catch a Snapper (海老だってが釣りたい),' drawing attention early on.
Following the release of '宵 -YOI-,' ENHYPEN is accelerating communication with local fans. They will hold a showcase commemorating the release of '宵 -YOI-' in Tokyo, Japan, at 6 p.m. tomorrow (31st), followed by their 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'WALK THE LINE' IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-' at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on the 2nd and 3rd of next month.
The mini album 6 'DESIRE : UNLEASH,' released last month, is enjoying a long-term success on major album charts in the United States. The album ranked 3rd on the latest chart (as of August 2) for 'World Albums' published by Billboard, while it placed 17th in both 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales.'
