Coupang Play's variety show 'Shooting Star' Season 2 is set to premiere on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m., and it has released its second trailer.
Coupang Play's variety show 'Shooting Star' Season 2 is a growth soccer variety show where legendary star players, who have learned to truly enjoy football after retirement, challenge themselves in the K3 League. 'Shooting Star,' which opened new horizons in sports entertainment with unscripted laughter and tears from the impossible challenges faced by retired legendary players last season, returns with more intense competition and hotter matches.
The recently released second trailer features Director General Park Ji-sung, Manager Choi Yong-soo, and Coach Seol Ki-hyun, along with newly joined world-class legends such as Patrice Evra, Koo Ja-cheol, Lee Keun-ho, and Yeom Ki-hoon, expressing their firm determination. Koo Ja-cheol, who played for the South Korean national team for 11 years, said, "I want to properly run once. Even if I feel like I might die," showing unwavering resolve comparable to that of a national team match, while Lee Keun-ho stated, "I think I need to start a fight with myself once again." Premier League star player Patrice Evra ignited his fighting spirit with a short yet powerful statement, saying, "There is no choice but to win. Football is life."
This season, 'FC Shooting Star' aims for a higher goal. After finishing second in last season's K4 League matchups, achieving promotion to a higher league, 'FC Shooting Star' is now up against the strongest semi-professional teams in Korea, belonging to the K3 League. The opponents have become much stronger, and the stadium is filled with the passionate cheers of the crowd. While passion and determination transcend their active days, fighting through injuries in a more intense physical battle is also crucial. Manager Choi Yong-soo noted, "We need to put everything we can into it," hinting at his strong charisma to lead this season. The endless beads of sweat from Lee Keun-ho and the fighting spirit of Yoon Young-sun, who refuses to leave the field despite head injuries, promise the heartfelt emotions 'Shooting Star' Season 2 will bring to viewers.
Manager Choi Yong-soo stated, "I want to write many more moving stories in every match without regrets, alongside truly great players. I want to play football realistically, and I hope you will watch us until the end."
The passionate challenge of legendary star players who have finally come to enjoy 'real football' after retirement will be revealed on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play's variety show 'Shooting Star' Season 2.
