Broadcaster Song Eun-yi clarified the $10 billion asset rumor, revealing that she experienced burnout three years ago.
On the 30th, Song Eun-yi, a 32-year veteran comedian and a 10-year corporations 'Song CEO', appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' to share her story.
On that day, Yoo Jae-suk introduced Song Eun-yi, saying, "She owns a grand building in Sangam-dong. The title '100 billion CEO' is attached to her," and Song Eun-yi expressed a somewhat awkward reaction, saying, "There is someone who has 100 billion, but..." Song Eun-yi added, "I don't know where the $10 billion rumor came from, and I don't have $10 billion. I just felt good and kept it there."
In response, Cho Sae-ho commented, "I heard that the company building is worth about 7 billion won at current market prices," adding fuel to the $10 billion CEO rumor. Song Eun-yi clarified, "It's not for investment purposes. We want to make it possible to shoot content from anywhere in the building. I think of it as an investment in facilities."
Song Eun-yi confessed that she experienced burnout three years ago, saying, "It seems like I had burnout around 3 to 4 years ago. I always kept my phone close and used to respond to messages happily."
Song Eun-yi recounted, "One day, after a meeting in Gangnam, I was crossing the Olympic Bridge and heading up the World Cup Bridge, which I really like. But I wasn't happy. I felt sad. Then I got a call and thought, 'Should I throw my phone away?' I wondered why I was doing this for wealth and fame."
Her close friend Yoo Jae-suk also concurred, saying, "Sometimes I think like that. It's great to receive good offers, but when I think about it one day, I have so many decisions to make. Having many decisions is a very happy life, but it doesn't come as I want it to."
