On the 28th (local time), the American kids' media outlet Kidscreen introduced the new animation 'SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes', produced in collaboration by Sony Music and Aniplex.
The work is known to feature a mixed idol group that uses music as a weapon to fight against evil, with actual J-Pop artists providing voice acting. This has a similar storyline to 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.'
'SI-VIS' follows the story of a Japanese mixed idol group performing across the country, fighting against villains with energy received from fans, while 'K-Demon Hunters' is an animation where a K-Pop idol group defeats evil spirits.
The specific grants of 'SI-VIS' will be disclosed before its airing on Fuji TV in October, and this project is interpreted as a response to the positive reaction received by the film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', produced by Sony Pictures.
Meanwhile, the movie 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has topped the charts for the highest number of views among Netflix original animated films and continues to see increased viewership even in its sixth week since release.
The performance of the soundtrack is also noteworthy. The theme song 'Golden', sung by the girl group 'HuntRix' appearing in the film, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, a total of 8 songs from the OST made it to the Hot 100.
