Actress Bae Woo-hee joins the cast of the film "Wanted," teaming up with Shin Hyun-joon and Taiwanese actress Regina Lei.
On the 30th, Bae Woo-hee's agency Dante Entertainment announced that she will join the film "Wanted" (directed by Shin Jae-ho, produced by Line Entertainment, co-produced by HJ Film) as the lead. "Wanted" is a comedic action film about a protagonist who, while unexpectedly traveling to Taiwan, gets caught up in an incident where he is mistaken for a wanted criminal, promising a unique enjoyment of Taiwan's co-production with its sensuous comedic direction and fast-paced development.
In the film, Bae Woo-hee appears as a strong-willed detective "Bae Woo-hee." She is an earnest detective who does not hesitate to go overseas to chase after the wanted suspect "Choi Cheol-goo" and possesses a determined and tough personality. Although she is misunderstood as rough due to the scars from her divorce, she actually has a tender and delicate heart. To capture Choi Cheol-goo, she engages in a subterfuge romance operation with postal worker Hyun-jun (played by Shin Hyun-joon), suggesting she will grab the audience's attention with her witty and unconventional methods.
Bae Woo-hee, who debuted in 2011 as a member of the girl group Dal Shabet, has been active with roles in dramas such as "Good Partner," "Fantasy G Spot," "Business Proposal," and films like "The Wolves," "Idol Recipe," and "Tunnel 3D." Recently, she presented the play "Star of Seoul."
Meanwhile, the film "Wanted," co-produced by Korea and Taiwan with Taiwanese company Donggam Entertainment participating as a co-producer, is ramping up production ahead of local filming.
