The group Stray Kids proved the current state of K-pop with their solo performance in Paris, France.
Stray Kids held two concerts at Stade de France, the largest stadium in France, on the 26th and 27th (local time). A total of 120,000 local fans attended the concerts, with 60,000 attending each show. They set the record for the largest crowd gathered by a domestic artist at this venue.
Stade de France is a national stadium located in Saint-Denis, Paris, serving as the home ground for the French national football team and the main stadium for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Stray Kids, a group symbolizing the current status of K-pop, set the highest record at this iconic venue in Paris.
Angelo Gopee, CEO of the global event planning company Live Nation France, noted, "As Stray Kids took the stage at Stade de France to sing and dance, the stadium resonated. It's rare to feel such an atmosphere at this venue. The interaction between fans and artists was extraordinary." He identified the success factors, saying, "If I were to describe the group Stray Kids in one word, it would be iconic. They have something different. The fact that they write their own lyrics and compose their music and take to the stage is truly special."
When asked about the group's prospects, Angelo Gopee said, "Stray Kids is the fastest-growing K-pop group and a young group that debuted in 2018. Their future is bright and full of potential. I am confident that as they maintain their number one position in albums and performances, they will remain number one in the hearts of fans worldwide."
Debuting officially in March 2018, Stray Kids turned Stade de France into their own area, performing their debut song "District 9". The many songs created by the members echoed throughout the large stadium in Europe. Their strong live vocals and rap, along with the powerful visual planning of their self-composed songs, created a magnificent spectacle. The mastery of the stage by Stray Kids captivated 60,000 fans while using a mise-en-scène effect, alongside the LED lights, sound, and ambiance to make the entire stadium feel ecstatic.
Stray Kids is enhancing the growth of K-pop through their world tour "dominATE," comprising 54 performances in 34 regions worldwide, achieving unprecedented success in K-pop. They will conclude their tour with a final show at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on July 30. They will make a comeback with the release of their fourth studio album "KARMA" on August 22 at 1 p.m.
