Former short track national representative Kim Dong-sung, embroiled in a controversy over unpaid child support, has revealed his hard work on a construction site while sweating in the heat.
On the 29th, In Min-jung shared a Kakao message with Kim Dong-sung on her SNS, writing, "Same workplace, different space. Fighting against the deadly heat. I have to win."
In the public message, Kim Dong-sung, wearing a hard hat and with a sweaty face, asked, "What are you doing?" In Min-jung responded by sending a picture of herself in the same work attire, sharing their work situations with each other.
In Min-jung later posted a photo of Kim Dong-sung eating samgyetang and watermelon punch for the summer solstice, asking, "Did it burn? Older brother. A lot," and Kim Dong-sung replied, "It's refreshing."
Kim Dong-sung, a gold medalist at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, was once active in entertainment and broadcasting. He appeared on various programs, including SBS' "My Love," KBS2's "Family's Dignity - Full House," and Channel A's "The Immortal National Representative," but his image took a significant hit in 2016 when he was embroiled in a past romance rumor with Jang Si-ho while the Choi Sun-sil Gate scandal was unfolding. At that time, Kim Dong-sung admitted to contacting Jang Si-ho but denied being in a romantic relationship.
Following his divorce from his ex-wife in 2018, Kim Dong-sung found himself listed on 'Bad Fathers' due to issues with unpaid child support. The court ordered him to pay 3 million won in monthly child support to his children, but he delayed payments, citing financial difficulties, and eventually applied for a reduction. He subsequently failed to pay approximately 80 million won in accumulated child support on time, leading to legal action against him.
In connection with this, his wife In Min-jung stated through SNS, "The life of the past few years has been filled with seizures, which is very humiliating, but I am enduring it to survive," adding, "I will definitely send the overdue child support to the children." In fact, In Min-jung has been making it clear that she intends to take responsibility by publicly disclosing her family affairs, even resorting to loan sharks to send child support.
