Jo Hye-ryeon expressed her beliefs about luxury consumption.
On the 29th, a video titled "EP.02 These days | I'm hot right now, so stop talking and turn on the new woman power air conditioning" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder'.
In the released video, Lee Kyung-sil, Jo Hye-ryeon, and Lee Seon-min discussed the topic of 'these days', mentioning 'recent consumption'.
Jo Hye-ryeon reflected, "Because I'm seeing other people's lives on social media, for example, sleeping in a suite room and eating delicious food. The unhappiness of not being able to do that and comparing it makes me think, 'Am I living wrong?'"
She continued, "So I live with the goal of buying an incredibly expensive handbag. It's not bad to have that, but being fixated on just that... When it becomes mine, I feel emptiness. It needs to be done properly and harmoniously."
When asked about consumption habits, Lee Kyung-sil revealed, "We don't even want to buy anything anymore. It's not that we've had everything, but we've experienced all of it. Now lighter things are better; we don't have that kind of attachment to luxury goods."
Jo Hye-ryeon shared, "I don't have a single luxury bag. I tend to lose things, so I need something I can stuff in. I always have to carry a bag that's just a cloth wrap. A small bag can't even fit my phone. Expensive bags don't suit me well either. My hands are quite rough. So I don't buy them often."
In response, Lee Kyung-sil couldn't hide her surprise, asking, "You really don't have any at all?" Jo Hye-ryeon jokingly replied, "Should I give you one?"
While saying this, she noted, "I have bought luxury goods before. But I don't think they suit me well. I think it's better to live comfortably without any greed for those things. Instead, my desires lie in studying and feeling good when I achieve something."
