JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) boy group NEXZ surprised fans by releasing the first video of their performance project "NEXZ Archive 2025".
JYP revealed the signature performance content "NEXZ Archive 2025 | ChillLit Choreography | Hey Julie! (feat. Lil Yachty) - KYLE" on the official NEXZ social media channel at 8 p.m. on the 29th. "NEXZ Archive," which has been ongoing since their pre-debut phase, is a group project that showcases performances in collaboration with renowned dancers and choreographers, hinting at the new start of this project through the video "NEXZ 'NEXTEP 2025'" that anticipated their activities for the year.
In the first video of "NEXZ Archive 2025," they performed "Hey Julie! (feat. Lil Yachty)" by Kyle in collaboration with the dance crew ChillLit. In the video, Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, and Yuki captivated viewers with their fluid dance lines and grooves to the rhythmic beats. Their precise movements and relaxed choreography, characteristic of a "next-generation performance powerhouse group," added enjoyment to the viewing experience while conveying a sporty and vibrant youthful energy against the backdrop of a gym, providing a refreshing feeling.
After making their global debut with their first single "Ride the Vibe" in May 2024, NEXZ continues to show robust growth and expand their activities. They topped the weekly album charts on domestic music chart sites Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart with their second mini-album "O-RLY?" released in April. Their second EP album in Japan, "One Bite," released in July, secured the top spot on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking and Billboard Japan's weekly album sales chart "Top Album Sales" on July 15.
They are successfully conducting their debut live tour "NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 'One Bite'" starting in Kanagawa in June. They made a solo debut at the "mecca of Japanese performances," Tokyo Budokan, as part of the tour on July 18-19. Riding the momentum, they will continue the excitement in Fukuoka on August 13, Hiroshima on August 14, Tochigi on August 16, and Osaka from August 20-21.
