HYBE and Geffen Record's joint girl group KATSEYE is gaining steady popularity in major global charts, including Billboard in the United States.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on 29th (local time) (dated August 2), KATSEYE's second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' ranked 48th on the main album chart 'Billboard 200.' Since entering the chart at 4th on July 12, it has remained on the chart for four consecutive weeks.
The album's tracks also showed a strong presence on the Billboard Global Song Chart. 'Gabriela' ranked 39th on 'Global 200' and 33rd on 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' this week, successfully charting for five consecutive weeks. 'Gnarly' ranked 108th and 107th on the two charts, respectively, making it into the rankings for 12 consecutive weeks.
'Gabriela' has recently surpassed 100 million cumulative streams in the shortest time for the team on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. It is KATSEYE's fourth song to achieve 100 million streams, following 'Gnarly,' 'Touch,' and 'Debut,' and it accomplished this in just 38 days since its release. Previously, their song 'Gnarly' took 52 days to reach the same number of streams, while 'Gabriela' significantly reduced this period.
Within one year of their debut, KATSEYE has rapidly established its presence in the global music market by continuously appearing on major U.S. Billboard charts like 'Hot 100' and 'Billboard 200.' It is being highlighted as a representative case of the K-pop production system successfully established locally under the leadership of HYBE's Bang Si-hyuk, and it is being evaluated as the 'next-generation global pop girl group.'
They will take the stage at 'Lollapalooza Chicago' in the U.S. on August 3. They are also set to perform at 'Summer Sonic 2025' in Japan on August 16-17. Global fans are gathering their expectations for KATSEYE's performance on the international stage.
