The group IVE is set to target local fans with their new release in Japan.
IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) released their third Japanese album 'Be Alright' on various music streaming sites on the 30th. This is their first new album in about 11 months since the release of their second Japanese album 'Alive' in August last year.
The album includes the title track 'Be Alright,' which was pre-released, and other original Japanese songs like 'Dare Me,' the OST for the Japanese NTV Sunday drama 'Dame Mane! - A Talent That Doesn't Sell, Does Management!' as well as Japanese versions of the tracks 'Ascendio,' 'Blue Heart,' and 'WOW' from their second album 'IVE SWITCH.'
The title track 'Be Alright' conveys a message of moving forward without fear of change. The members' solid and diverse vocals combined with the lively and powerful sound inspire courage in listeners.
Having officially debuted in Japan in October 2022, IVE made its name on the list of 'Gold Disc' selected by the Japan Record Association with their debut single album 'ELEVEN.' A month after their debut, they appeared in the NHK year-end music festival 'Kohaku Uta Gassen,' showcasing an extraordinary feat as rookies, and last year, they entered the Tokyo Dome, known as the 'dream stage,' during their first world tour 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' attracting 95,000 spectators over two days and demonstrating their overwhelming presence.
IVE once again proved their immense popularity in Japan by attracting a total audience of 100,000 during their arena fan concert 'IVE SCOUT' in Japan, which toured four cities this year. Additionally, the live video of 'After LIKE' they showcased on the popular Japanese YouTube channel 'THE FIRST TAKE' ranked first in trending music videos on Japanese YouTube the day after its release, and they also appeared on the popular NHK music program 'Venue 101,' further widening their connection with local fans.
IVE is set to make their first appearance at Japan's representative music festival 'Rock in Japan Festival 2025' on September 15. After proving their strong local popularity by leading the crowd participation at 'Summer Sonic 2024' last year, attention is focused on IVE's moves as they again aim for the Japanese market through their new release 'Be Alright.'
IVE will participate in the first game of the '2025 Coupang Play Series' being held at Suwon World Cup Stadium today (30th) at 8 p.m., performing the ceremonial kick-off and a halftime show.
