The fashion magazine 'Men's Noblesse' has released a photo shoot for its August issue featuring Lee Chae-young from fromis_9.
This photo shoot captured Lee Chae-young's mature and deepened inner self as she stepped onto the stage after a hiatus, and conveyed her sincerity about music, team members, and fans through an interview.
Lee Chae-young recently met with fans again through the release of her sixth EP 'From Our 20's'. The title track 'LIKE YOU BETTER' is receiving an enthusiastic response both domestically and internationally, particularly achieving a meaningful result by topping music charts.
Regarding this, Lee Chae-young noted, "At first, I approached it calmly without high expectations, but seeing the fans' reactions filled my heart with emotion," adding, "This is just the beginning; the real thing starts now."
She also expressed anticipation for her first world tour 'NOW TOMORROW,' which will kick off in Seoul from August 8 to 10. She expressed excitement, saying, "It's a new challenge. Just meeting the fans in person makes this a meaningful journey." Amid busy preparations, she shared, "I'm physically tired, but my desire to reward the fans who have waited is even greater," conveying a strong sense of responsibility.
Lee Chae-young also expressed affection for the track 'Merry Go Round.' She said, "It resonated with me because it's a story that revolves like a carousel and ultimately returns to the fans" and described it as "a song that reminds us why we can stand here again." She also candidly shared an episode with a fan, saying, "Hearing a fan say, 'You made my day happy' eradicated my lethargy," and discussing her feelings about expressing emotions on stage, "There is nothing more meaningful than if it can bring comfort to someone."
Regarding her long-standing relationships with her members, she said, "Now we are like family. It's a relationship where we understand each other without words," and noted, "Every time I sing the lyrics 'Even if it hurts, I won't let go of this Rendez-vous' in 'LIKE YOU BETTER,' I feel overwhelmed with emotion." She added that she often promises her members, "Let's go all the way together."
Having dreamed of the stage since childhood, she remarked, "During my trainee days, I dreamed of being an idol just by watching the stage, but now I embrace the entire reality of it. I would definitely choose to be a singer again if I were to be reborn."
Moreover, stating, "I don't want to rest yet. I want to show even more," she hinted at another comeback after the tour while revealing her unique passion. Lastly, about a scene captured in 'From Our 20's,' she reflected, "It's the candid moments of the members laughing and joking in the practice room," adding, "I think the sweat and laughter behind the stage will be remembered even longer."
