The journey toward debut has begun in earnest as Mnet 'Boys II Planet' expands the fan enthusiasm ignited online into the real world.
The world-scale debut project aimed at the top K-POP boy group, Mnet 'Boys II Planet' (BOYS II PLANET / directed by Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, Ko Jeong-gyeong), will hold an offline event 'PLANET DAY: PRIVATE STAGE' on Aug. 2 (Saturday) at 3 p.m. at the CJ ENM Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where participants and star creators will come together. This special event marks a turning point in their journey as participants from Planet K and C who have proven their skills and potential meet star creators for the first time.
In particular, this 'PLANET DAY' holds great significance as the excitement from online directly translates to offline. The second global voting currently taking place on the global K-POP platform Mnet Plus has seen participation from fans in 210 countries and regions worldwide, with the average number of voters per day nearly doubling compared to season 1. This explosive response was also evident in the applications for audience attendance for 'PLANET DAY', which took place on July 26-27, where more than five times the number of applicants compared to season 1 applied in just two days.
The 'PLANET DAY', themed 'PLANET CLUB FAIR', will feature vibrant charm competitions as the representative clubs of 'Planet High School' recruit star creators as new students in the summer festival season. Anticipation builds as the boys, each becoming a member of different clubs, communicate with fans and reveal new aspects of themselves.
The venue will be live-streamed globally through the official YouTube channel of 'Boys II Planet' and Mnet Plus, promising to be a special summer festival shared with fans around the world.
Meanwhile, 'Boys II Planet' will kick off the official debut competition starting with the survivors from Planet K and Planet C gathering in one place from episode 3, which will be broadcast on the 31st. The journey that began on different planets is heading toward a single stage, and global fans are focused on what unfolds next.
