The main actors of 'My lovely journey' provided explanations about the romance lines within the work.
On the afternoon of the 29th, a production presentation for Channel A's new weekend drama 'My lovely journey' took place at the shocking K-Pop center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Actors Gong Seung-yeon, Yoo Jun-sang, Kim Jae-young, Hong Soo-hyun, Oh Hyun-jung, and director Kang Sol attended and shared their thoughts.
'My lovely journey' is a full-fledged healing trip drama that depicts the process of a travel reporter, who has never been the center of attention in life, realizing true success and the meaning of life while carrying out the travels entrusted to him, based on the novel of the same name by writer Mahara Hara.
In the drama, Gong Seung-yeon plays the role of Kang Yeo-reum, a former idol and travel reporter, and develops a romantic chemistry with Kim Jae-young, who plays Lee Yeon-seok, an elite from a prestigious university who chose the path of a film director in search of his dreams.
When asked about the romantic chemistry between the two, Kim Jae-young noted, "We are not progressing quickly like a typical romantic comedy, and there are lyrical parts. There are many emotional, human aspects, and we are getting to know each other. Since I've worked with Seung-yeon before, it was comfortable to work together."
Gong Seung-yeon added, "I was also very comfortable. It's a romance where we are getting to know each other, supporting each other as humans, and gradually confirming our feelings for each other. It's ticklish. If you watch it, everyone will become happy too."
Meanwhile, Yoo Jun-sang, who plays Oh Sang-sik, the representative of Ogu Entertainment, hinted at another romance line with Hong Soo-hyun, who plays Yoo Ha-na, the financial director of Ogu Entertainment.
However, when asked about the romantic scenes between the two, Yoo Jun-sang candidly said, "It was hard to even kiss," drawing laughter. Hong Soo-hyun said, "We feel like siblings, and even though he's my older brother, I think Yoo Ha-na thinks of him as she would a younger sibling," adding, "It seems romantic, but when I'm looking this way, he's looking the other way. You'll only know by watching the drama until the end."
Then, Yoo Jun-sang remarked, "(With Kim Jae-young) it almost turned into a romance. He kept bothering me," foreshadowing some bromance between Oh Sang-sik and Lee Yeon-seok, adding more intrigue.
'My lovely journey' is set to premiere on Aug. 2 at 9:20 p.m.
