Mnet 'Boys II Planet' has once again proven its popularity by expanding the fervor of online fans into the real-world stage.
The world-scale debut project 'Boys II Planet' (Boys II Planet / Directors Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, Ko Jung-kyung), aimed at producing the top K-POP boy group, will host an offline event 'PLANET DAY: PRIVATE STAGE' on Aug. 2 (Sat) at 3 p.m. at the CJ ENM Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul. This event is a unique opportunity for participants from Planet K and C who have proven their skills and potential to meet star creators for the first time, marking a special turning point in their journey, and anticipation is high among global fans.
Notably, the significance of this 'PLANET DAY' is substantial as the excitement online is directly translating into offline participation. In the second global voting currently underway on the global K-POP platform Mnet Plus, fans from 210 countries and regions are participating, and the average daily number of voters has nearly doubled compared to season 1. This explosive response was also evident in the applications for attending 'PLANET DAY' held on July 26-27. Over the two-day application period, more than five times the number of participants compared to season 1 applied, showcasing how the passionate online interest of fans is amplifying into on-site participation.
This 'PLANET DAY,' themed around 'PLANET CLUB FAIR,' features a unique charm competition where the representative clubs of 'Planet High School' are recruiting star creators as new students, coinciding with the summer festival season. Boys will engage in communication with fans as members of different clubs, and everyone is looking forward to what new sides they will showcase.
