The group ILLIT has added a billion-streaming song on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
According to Spotify on the 29th, the track 'Tick-Tack' from ILLIT (Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha) mini album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' has accumulated 100,041,790 streams as of the 27th. With this, 'Tick-Tack' joins ILLIT's ranks as their fourth billion-streaming song.
'Tick-Tack' is a pop genre song that captures my noisy inner feelings that change moment by moment, with a unique scat sound in the chorus that pierces the ears like the tick-tock of a clock, creating a strong addiction. Particularly, the choreography point that resembles taking a photo with fingers has gained great popularity on short-form platforms, becoming the number one trending audio in Korea and Japan Reels.
ILLIT's total cumulative streaming count for all the songs released so far exceeds 1.3 billion. Notably, their debut song 'Magnetic' has been streamed over 600 million times in about one year and two months since its release, marking the shortest record among K-pop group debut songs. Additionally, 'Lucky Girl Syndrome' and 'Cherish (My Love)' each surpassed 100 million streams.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will release their first single in Japan, 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original title 時よ止まれ/토키 요 토마레), on September 1, officially debuting there. The single will include the title track 'Toki Yo Tomare,' the song 'Topping,' a Japanese version of the title track from their mini album 'bomb' (밤) called 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance),' and ILLIT's first original song in Japan, 'Almond Chocolate,' which gained a surprise resurgence on local charts after being released in February, totaling four songs. Anticipation is building among global fans for the sparkling and lovely appearance of these girls.
