The band Dragon Pony revealed an anecdote about receiving praise from Yoo Hee-yeol.
Dragon Pony held a showcase on the afternoon of the 29th at the YES24 Wonder Rock Hall in Seoul to celebrate the release of their new single 'Earth Boy' and discussed their new song.
Following their recent sold-out concerts in Korea and Taipei, Dragon Pony is actively participating in major domestic and international festivals, showcasing their capabilities as a 'top rookie in the K-band scene.'
When asked about the band's unique strengths, Ko Kang-hoon said, "Recently, when I met with Yoo Hee-yeol, he gave us some kind words, saying the band is cooler today than it was yesterday. I was very grateful and thought that our charm, as a developmental character band, could be our strength."
He expressed gratitude, noting that senior members at their agency, Antenna, also provided valuable advice, saying, "I had a meal with senior Jung Seung-hwan, where we talked and listened to music. He treated me to beef and I shared the new song with him. I felt encouraged when he told me it seems like we are doing great music and that he was envious and impressed. He paid for all the beef and pork."
He continued, "Senior Lee Sang-soon also liked the song 'Earth Boy.' I played several other demos for him, and he pointed out this particular track as one he really liked," adding, "We had overlapping performances with the Peppertones, and we had some time to talk while watching each other's stages. They always encourage us by saying we're cool, which gives us a lot of strength."
