Singer Lim Young-woong has decided not to release a physical album (CD album) for his second regular album. Instead, he will produce a package (album book) containing photo shoots. This decision reflects Lim Young-woong's intention to reduce 'the burden on fans.'
According to his agency, Fish Music, Lim Young-woong's second regular album 'I'm Hero 2' (IM HERO 2) will not be released as a CD album, and an album book containing photo shoots for fans who want to collect it will be released. The album book will include photos of Lim Young-woong related to the second album, album credits, and a message directly from Lim Young-woong.
Fish Music noted, "This decision was made after long discussions and deep contemplation with Lim Young-woong, and the agency deeply sympathizes with the artist's heartfelt intention and joined this purpose," adding, "The form to commemorate the album may change, but we prepared it in hopes that the emotions and sincerity contained within will actually bring us closer, so please look forward to it."
Lim Young-woong was reported to be concerned about the difficulties in practically enjoying CD albums. He also wished that the fans' dedication and support would not become a burden. Additionally, this decision was made with consideration of environmental pollution caused by the production of CD albums.
Lim Young-woong's album book will be exclusively available for pre-order starting at 2 p.m. on the 31st at Lim Young-woong's official MD mall, 'I'm Hero Mall.' It will not be included in record sales counts.
Lim Young-woong's second regular album 'I'm Hero 2' will be released on Aug. 29. Prior to that, various content related to his comeback is planned to be unveiled in succession.
