Singer Brian has reported ongoing damage from malicious comments, and an associate stated that they are currently undergoing legal action for the third time.
On the 29th, Brian's associate said in a phone call with OSEN, "The person making the threats has already been sued. We are continuing legal action, and just the day before yesterday, we filed a lawsuit."
Previously, on the day before, Brian posted a short phrase stating, "I'm going crazy" on his personal SNS along with a photo capturing dozens of blocked accounts and messages sent to him. The released photo shows that Brian has been targeted with repeated personal attacks, insults, mockery, death threats, and hate speech via direct messages.
Brian commented, "This psycho has created so many accounts," and added, "These are the accounts I blocked." Indeed, the captures he released showed dozens of accounts listed as 'blocked' or 'restricted', revealing that the perpetrator has continuously created new accounts to reach out.
In relation to this, his associate also explained, "The first legal action was taken in 2018. At that time, they promised, 'I won't do it again,' and we reached a settlement which I understand resulted in a fine. Even so, it repeated and we proceeded with legal action again, leading to a 6-month prison sentence with 2 years of probation."
He continued, "This is the third legal action. At first, they contacted us as fans, but when there was no response, they started sending malicious messages. We received over 100 text messages to the company's contact number and also reports of direct messages being sent to fans. In the past, we collected them together for a lawsuit, but now we are filing lawsuits for each one."
In particular, Brian is trembling with fear after moving into a house he personally built. His associate revealed, "When he lived in an APT., it was less specific, so it was a bit more tolerable, but now that he is in a dwelling, he seems to be even more scared that someone might come to visit."
Meanwhile, Brian debuted in 1999 with Fly to the Sky and has released hit songs such as 'Sea of Love' and 'Missing You'. Recently, he has also been active in a variety show under the nickname 'cleaning fanatic'.
