The members of ASTRO (Fantagio), MJ and JinJin, will debut as the unit JuniGini on August 13.
JuniGini (MJ & JinJin) released a coming soon teaser video at midnight on the 29th through the official SNS of their agency Fantagio, formalizing the release of their first mini-album 'DICE'.
The teaser featured the English unit names 'ZOONI' and 'ZINI', the album title '1st MINI ALBUM', the album name 'DICE', and the release date '2025. 08. 13', all presented in dynamic typography that captured attention. The unit name JuniGini, a combination of MJ (real name Kim Myung-jun) and JinJin (real name Park Jin-woo), along with the album name 'DICE', which means dice, raises expectations for the unique synergy the two will showcase as a unit.
MJ, the main vocalist of global K-pop group ASTRO, and JinJin, the leader and main rapper, are taking a new leap as the unit JuniGini. In addition to ASTRO activities, MJ released a solo album 'Happy Virus' in 2021 and showcased a solid and charming vocal presence through various OSTs and music projects. JinJin has presented high-quality self-composed songs through his music project 'JIN LAB' and has proven his skills as both an artist and producer by participating in the production of several ASTRO albums.
Based on their all-around abilities, MJ and JinJin are also building careers as musical actors. MJ has appeared in various musicals, including 'Jamie', 'Winter Sonata', 'Jack the Ripper', and 'Zorro: The Actor-Musician', while JinJin has received favorable reviews from audiences for his roles in the original and re-staging of 'Winter Sonata', as well as in 'Dream High' and 'Crash Landing on You'.
This year marks the 9th anniversary of their debut, and MJ and JinJin released a special single called 'Twilight', written and composed by JinJin. They successfully concluded their solo concert 'The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]' in Korea and Japan after three years. Attention is drawn to what charm and individuality the two, who have fortified their musical capabilities through extensive activities, will newly present as JuniGini.
JuniGini's mini album 'DICE', targeting the music industry this summer as a new unit from ASTRO, will be released on August 13 at 6 p.m. through various online music platforms.
