In this broadcast, Kim Su-ji will disclose her history as an 'idol lyricist,' stating, 'I have been active as a lyricist for four years, with a total of 32 songs registered with the copyright association,' surprising everyone. He reveals that he has participated in writing lyrics for various artists, including NCT DREAM, Red Velvet, CIX, Yoon-ha, and Park Jung-hyun.
Kim Su-ji states about her lyric writing, 'The requirements for idol songs are specific when writing lyrics.' She explains that they may say things like, 'Please use this word' and 'You must incorporate the worldview.' In contrast, solo artists may say, 'Just capture the emotions well,' allowing for relatively more creative freedom, thus adding that different approaches are necessary depending on the artist.
Additionally, she explains, 'The equity varies depending on how many characters are reflected in the song when my lyrics are adopted.' She mentions that 'The number of characters recognized by each agency differs,' and presents industry information such as, 'In the case of the English sentence, "I love you," whether the agency recognizes it as 5 characters with "아이 러브 유" or 3 characters with "알럽유" varies among companies.'
Her impressive history from school days also draws attention. Kim Su-ji reveals, 'When I was in middle school, I serialized an internet novel titled "Pretty Club" and received 3 million won in royalties after it was published as a book,' showcasing her early talent as a writer.
