In particular, the 2 p.m. performance was sold out immediately after opening, and the additional 6 p.m. performance also quickly filled all seats, attracting great interest.
Kim Tae-yeon is set to showcase her own musical world encompassing various genres such as Gugak, trot, and dance through this concert. With emotional depth and high-quality stage production that belies her age of '14', she is expected to share 'a page of an exciting summer' with the audience.
The agency stated, 'We sincerely thank everyone for the sellout, despite it being Kim Tae-yeon's solo concert. We are preparing the best stage in return for the fans' support, so please look forward to it.'
After capturing the public's attention through TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020, Kim Tae-yeon has secured a solid fan base across all ages with her powerful vocals and deep stage presence, earning recognition as the next 'trot diva.'
However, a recent confusion arose as her name is the same as that of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. A poster was released, including Girls' Generation's Taeyeon in the lineup for the 'Jangsu Hanwoo and Apples Festival,' but the selection contact was made for Kim Tae-yeon instead of Taeyeon.
Even after the controversy erupted, the Jangsu County side insisted that the attempt to cast Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was correct, further escalating the confusion. Ultimately, hurt by the situation, Kim Tae-yeon declined the festival appearance.
The festival management agency (JTV) issued an apology, stating, 'While we considered casting Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, a singer from Jeonbuk, during the planning stage for the opening celebration performance, we had to give it up for reasons and failed to inform the host, Jangsu County, in advance about the confirmed appearance of trot singer Kim Tae-yeon, causing significant confusion.'
Jangsu County also expressed, 'We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the lack of communication with the management agency and the hurt caused to local residents, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, trot singer Kim Tae-yeon, and fans of both artists, and we will strive to ensure the best preparation for the 19th Jangsu Hanwoo and Apples Festival.'
