Jiwoo from 'Dolsing Guys 7' revealed the shocking reason for her divorce from her ex-husband.
In the episode of MBN's 'Dolsing Guys 7' that aired on the 27th, the romantic journeys of 10 singles who flew to Gold Coast, Australia, including Dohyoung, Donggun, Myung-eun, Seongwoo, Suha, Areum, Yewon, Inhyeong, Jiwoo, and Heejong, were depicted.
Regarding the reason for the divorce, Seongwoo said, "First of all, it was largely economic, and I lived with my father-in-law and mother-in-law. With four of us living together, it was financially difficult, so I worked hard and did everything. I tried to take responsibility economically."
Seongwoo stated, "They don't understand that I want to rest when I come back. I also had nowhere to lean on mentally." Seongwoo added that he took care of not just his wife but also his in-laws. He revealed that they had a consensual divorce.
Jiwoo explained, "I fell in love too quickly at a young age, and I had a romantic marriage." She continued, "I think I made the decision to marry too quickly and was immature myself. We fought a lot, but we couldn't overcome it. One day, out of the blue, the other person notified me of the breakup," explaining the background of the divorce.
Jiwoo shared, "What I found out a month or two after we broke up was that there was someone I had originally suspected. I was shocked to find that someone I felt uneasy about was living in the same space as me." Furthermore, the person in question was a colleague who used to call her "sister" and was even married. "I attended that wedding," she revealed, adding more shock.
Jiwoo expressed her deeper hurt by saying, "They didn't even make an effort to hide it. It had only been a month or two." She also confessed the pain she had to endure alone because she couldn't openly talk about the marriage, which faced strong opposition from her parents, eliciting sympathy.
