In 'My Kid's Private Life,' Park Joo-ho's son Gun-ho has been recognized by Lee Dong-gook.
On the 27th, the ENA entertainment show 'My Kid's Private Life' (hereinafter 'My Life') depicted Gun-ho's challenge in his first overseas soccer game.
On this day, the Park Joo-ho family visited Lee Dong-gook's soccer academy. Before the official test began, Gun-ho went on a tour of the academy facilities with Lee Dong-gook's youngest daughter, Seol-ah, and couldn't take his eyes off the youth players, saying, "My dad needs to do better" and, "If I had facilities like this, I could do well."
Park Joo-ho responded, "I am doing it. I am building it," but Gun-ho pointed out, "There was a reason why Uncle Dong-gook is expensive in soccer games." To this, Park Joo-ho replied, "You shouldn't compare that," evoking laughter.
In a subsequent interview, Gun-ho said, "Uncle Dong-gook is more expensive in the game. He must have made a lot of money to build this. The facilities are really great," expressing admiration for the facilities again.
Meanwhile, Park Joo-ho revealed the reason for visiting Lee Dong-gook, saying, "Like an arm bending inward, I thought I might be nice about Gun-ho, so I came to test him out once."
As the test began, Gun-ho entered within 18 seconds in a sprint, surprising everyone, as the upper limit was to finish within 21 seconds. However, shortly after, he faced disappointment in a one-on-one match against Si-an, who easily dribbled past him.
Unlike Dal-rae, Lee Dong-gook coldly assessed, "It's great to shoot, but you haven't practiced the boring basics enough." Gun-ho then lamented, "But Dad works all the time, so I couldn't practice."
Eventually breaking into tears, Gun-ho said in an interview, "It didn't go as I had planned. My dad goes to work and can't practice soccer. I wish my dad would cut down on work and play soccer with me," expressing his wishes. To this, Do Kyung-wan responded, "Mr. Park Joo-ho, stop working. Look at me. I'm not working," bringing laughter.
Meanwhile, Gun-ho teamed up with soccer players to compete against Si-an's team. He played perfectly in defense during a crisis and scored two goals. However, the game ended with a score of 4:3 in defeat. Lee Hyun said, "Though we lost, we did very well. Great job in losing," but Gun-ho shed tears, saying, "I failed the test."
Gun-ho stated in an interview, "I feel like I couldn't showcase my skills. I realized that I need to practice the basics a lot. It was a good experience for me." Park Joo-ho added, "I think it was a necessary time for Gun-ho if he wants to play soccer in the future."
After the match, Lee Dong-gook encouraged Gun-ho, saying, "Winning or losing isn't that important. Didn't you score? Gun-ho scored two goals today," showing encouragement. He then joked to Gun-ho, who wasn't eating eel grilled, "If you eat this, you won't lose in physical contests."
Amidst this, Gun-ho asked, "What's your goal, brother?" Si-an replied, "My goal is to break Dad's record." Lee Dong-gook said he participated in a total of 844 matches, scoring 344 goals, and Si-an remarked, "Hearing that, I don't think I can break it," drawing laughter.
Then Gun-ho looked at the many top stars' signatures hanging in the soccer academy and expressed, "I want to sign too." In response, Lee Dong-gook shared a story, saying, "I also signed with a pen on paper when I went to high school. Keep that, and I said I would become a great professional player in a year."
After receiving Gun-ho's signature, Lee Dong-gook said, "It's the youngest signature ever. Thank you," and noted, "Although we lost the match, I think of you as having passed. You have a lot of potential as a soccer player." Afterward, Gun-ho stated in an interview, "Uncle Dong-gook has had a long soccer career. So I will break his record. I think I am an attacker after all," catching people's attention.
