Trot singer Go Jung-woo reveals his tragic life story, saying he had no choice but to attempt a drastic decision after writing a will through "Oh Eun-young Stay."
The 30th anniversary national consolation project of MBN, "Oh Eun-young Stay," presents sophisticated content that leads to emotional healing and recovery, not just simple solace or laughter, through the warm synergy of three MCs: Dr. Oh Eun-young, Ko So-young, and Moon Se-yoon, providing deep resonance for the viewers.
In the 6th episode of "Oh Eun-young Stay," airing on the 28th (Monday), Go Jung-woo, known as the "Grandson of the Sea," opens up by stating that his only family after his parents divorced when he was two years old was his grandmother, saying, "My grandmother was a friend, a mother, a wife, and everything in the world to me." He recalls the painful days of losing his home due to a relative's wrongful guarantee and having lived in an abandoned house supported by a steel pipe, bringing tears to the scene.
In particular, Go Jung-woo confessed that he had to enter the workforce at a young age to support his grandmother, who became paralyzed from the waist down in the 2nd grade of elementary school, and that he suffered from arthritis at a young age and even collapsed from overwork. He expressed, "I wondered what sins I committed to live like this," and it was revealed that he ultimately made a drastic decision to jump into the sea while suffering from depression, shocking everyone. Go Jung-woo also shared that he is still taking medication for depression and noted, "When I close my eyes, I have countless thoughts, and I feel anxious," which brings solemnity to everyone present.
When Go Jung-woo shared the last conversation he had with his grandmother right before her death, Dr. Oh Eun-young and Ko So-young cried endlessly, creating a poignant atmosphere. Meanwhile, rapper Han-hae, a close friend of Moon Se-yoon, makes a surprise appearance on "Oh Eun-young Stay," adding delight.
