BTOB's Lee Chang-seob has remade "At That Place, At That Time," which has been reborn as an AI-based animated music video.
The music video for "At That Place, At That Time," released on the 27th along with the audio, was produced by Diffs Studio, an AI orchestration platform, and realized emotional visuals that harmonize with the lyrical essence of traditional ballads.
The released music video poetically captures the flow of time and memory with Lee Chang-seob's delicate vocals layered over Kim Hyung-seok's lyrical melody, enhanced by emotional illustrated animation. In particular, based on the concept of "a scene from memory drawn by AI," it visually expands the emotions embedded in the music, offering a new viewing experience. This has garnered attention as a creative interpretive tool that extends the narrative and feelings of the song, beyond mere visual assistance.
Notably, this animated music video, completed in an animation style, was created not by human hands but by AI, presenting new possibilities in K-POP MV production methods and drawing significant attention. Diffs Studio completed this project in about three weeks based on its own generative AI tools, resulting in a reduction of production time by more than 70 percent compared to traditional music video production, along with over a 50 percent decrease in production costs.
In this regard, a Diffs Studio official noted, "This is an example of how a music video created by AI can capture human emotions with remarkable delicacy," adding, "AI is not just a visual assistance tool but a key tool for creation."
"At That Place, At That Time," released on online music sites on the 27th, is a song originally released by Sung Si-kyung in 2006. In this remake version, original composer Kim Hyung-seok participated directly to further refine the emotional nuances, and Lee Chang-seob's unique sweet tone and deep interpretative skill bring a new resonance.
