Singer Koo Jun-yeob has been visiting the grave of his wife Shih Hsi-yuan daily for five months since she passed away in February, it was reported on the 28th.
According to the Taiwanese media ETtoday, Koo Jun-yeob goes every day to Jinbaoshan (金寶山) in New Taipei City, where Shih Hsi-yuan is buried. This has reportedly caused him to lose a lot of weight. Several posts and photos of Koo Jun-yeob spotted at Jinbaoshan have been shared on social media (SNS). An internet user reported seeing Koo Jun-yeob sitting in silence next to his wife while placing flowers at her grave. The video shared by the internet user showed Koo Jun-yeob sitting on a folding chair wearing a black hat and looking at something, despite the hot weather.
This internet user said, "Koo Jun-yeob kindly told us, 'Thank you.' The moment I saw him, I felt deep sadness," adding, "Koo Jun-yeob is the man with the deepest love that I have ever seen. I hope he can overcome his pain."
Koo Jun-yeob is reportedly planning to buy a dwelling near Jinbaoshan. Residents have stated that Koo Jun-yeob went to see houses in a newly completed residential complex.
Shih Hsi-yuan was a Taiwanese star who worked as an actress, singer, and television host, gaining great popularity after playing the lead role in the drama based on the Japanese comic 'Boys Over Flowers' in 2001. She married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011, divorced in 2021, and remarried Koo Jun-yeob the following year.
In February, she passed away at the age of 48 due to influenza complicated by pneumonia while on a family trip to Japan. The deceased had visited hospitals in Japan four times before her death, but she passed away after missing the timing for treatment. Koo Jun-yeob has not appeared in public since he buried his wife's remains. It is reported that he has lost more than 10 kilograms.
