Singer Kim Jeong-min's mother has passed away.
According to his agency Silverstone Entertainment on the 28th, Kim Jeong-min's mother died on the 27th at the age of 93.
Currently, Kim Jeong-min is said to be keeping vigil at the funeral home, accompanied by his family, including his wife, Tani Rumiko, while receiving mourners.
Kim Jeong-min married Tani Rumiko, a Japanese woman three years younger than him, in 2006, and they have three sons. Notably, his eldest son, Kim Tae-yang, and second son, Kim Do-yun, are both active in Japan under the names Tani Taiyo and Tani Daichi, respectively, as members of the Sagantos U-18 team.
Among them, Kim Do-yun was selected for the Japanese U-17 national team and has attracted attention by scoring goals. In this regard, his wife, Tani Rumiko, has moved to Japan to live with the children.
Kim Jeong-min, in April last year, appeared in Channel A's 'Best Friends Documentary Four-Person Table,' where he shared that he could not go to Japan with his wife and children to care for his mother, who is in her 90s. As such, many are sending condolences and sympathy upon hearing the news of Kim Jeong-min's mother's passing, reflecting his deep affection and sense of responsibility toward her.
Meanwhile, Kim Jeong-min's mother's funeral home has been set up at the Yongtong-gu, Suwon city Yeonhwa Funeral Hall, and the funeral is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. on the 29th. The burial site is Seunghwa-won.
