Singer Koo Jun-yeob continues to demonstrate unwavering love nearly half a year after losing his wife, the late Taiwanese actress Seohuiwon.
On the 27th, the Taiwanese media ET Today reported, "Koo Jun-yeob still visits Seohuiwon's grave every day." According to the report, a Chinese internet user shared on their social media that they encountered Koo Jun-yeob while visiting Seohuiwon's grave to pay respects.
He noted, "At first, I was worried I would have trouble finding the grave's location, but as I turned the corner, I saw a man sitting right in front of the grave. When I got closer, it was Koo Jun-yeob," adding, "He greeted me politely, saying, 'Thank you for coming,' and I could feel deep sorrow just from that sight." He continued, "He seems to be the person with the most devoted love I have ever seen. I hope he can eventually overcome his sadness."
In the publicly released photos, Koo Jun-yeob was seen sitting quietly in front of Seohuiwon's grave.
The late Seohuiwon passed away on Feb. 2 while traveling with her family in a hospital in Tokyo, Japan. During the trip, her pneumonia symptoms worsened due to the flu, and she was transported to the emergency room, but ultimately passed away. The family laid her to rest on Jinbao Mountain in Taiwan, and Koo Jun-yeob has since halted all activities and remained in the area, deeply mourning her loss.
According to local reports, Koo Jun-yeob visits her grave daily, shedding tears every night, resulting in a weight loss of about 12 kg. He has spent such long hours visiting the grave that his skin has tanned from the sun. This was also conveyed through the social media of Seohuiwon's mother, Huang Chun-mei.
Huang Chun-mei said, "The reason he has tanned skin is that he has been keeping watch over Seohuiwon. He is truly a loyal and affectionate person," adding, "Meeting someone like him in life leaves no further wishes. It is true love."
Above all, Koo Jun-yeob has participated in creating a memorial statue for his wife to leave a legacy of his longing for her. Huang Chun-mei stated, "The statue's design is truly beautiful. Every painting drawn by Koo Jun-yeob is lovely," and mentioned that the statue is set to be completed in time for the first anniversary of Seohuiwon's passing.
Seohuiwon's younger sister, Seohui-je, also commemorated the late actress on social media, stating, "My sister was always on my side. She pretended to be strong, but she was a gentle and warm person. Mom misses her a lot," revealing her deep sense of longing.
Meanwhile, Seohuiwon is well-known in Korea for her role in the Taiwanese drama "Boys Over Flowers." She had a romantic relationship with Koo Jun-yeob when he was active as part of the group Clon, but after their breakup, she married Chinese businessman Wang Sobi and had two children. After divorcing in 2021, she reunited with Koo Jun-yeob in 2022, 20 years later, announcing their marriage, which received warm blessings from fans worldwide, but they parted ways before reaching their third wedding anniversary.
