'Generation Z rock star' Hanroro (HANRORO) has begun pre-sales for the new EP 'Grapefruit Apricot Club.'
According to the agency Authentic, Hanroro's third EP 'Grapefruit Apricot Club,' set to be released on Aug. 4, starts pre-sales today (28th) on various album sites.
Hanroro's third EP 'Grapefruit Apricot Club' is a new album presented about a year after the announcement of the second EP 'Jib,' and it is a work that showcases new attempts. 'Grapefruit Apricot Club' is composed of a novel and album sharing the same worldview, telling the story of four middle school girls who meet and share their respective pains. Last month, the novel of the same name was released first and sold out immediately, leading to a second printing.
If the lyrics expanded from the novel added depth, the album 'Grapefruit Apricot Club' attempted a new musical approach by condensing the novel's long narrative. The pre-released single 'Escape' expresses the despair felt by the narrator in the novel through Hanroro's lyrical shoegaze arrangement. In this way, Hanroro's third EP 'Grapefruit Apricot Club' consists of a total of seven tracks, each backgrounded by the story in the novel, including 'Ticket from Tomorrow,' 'Suspect,' 'Fork in the Road,' '0+0,' '_to,' and 'Racing Time.'
Not only the formation of the tracks but also the album design and components include a photobook, ID photos, and stickers reminiscent of the stories and characters in the novel, enhancing the consolidation between the novel and the album and increasing its collectible value.
Through 'Grapefruit Apricot Club,' Hanroro showcases new literary and musical attempts, expanding their artistic spectrum while solidifying the title of 'Generation Z rock star.'
