Model Song Kyung-ah revealed her marriage story with her husband, a Korean-American.
In the episode of MBN's variety show 'Let's Go Go Season 5' aired on the afternoon of the 26th, Song Kyung-ah's special ceramic collection, unique investment strategies, and a dress room resembling a vintage boutique were showcased.
Song Kyung-ah invited MC Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee to a real estate in Yongsan, saying, "I want to sell my house." The three of them looked into the real estate prices in Yongsan, and according to experts, her house is currently worth more than 3 billion won.
Living in an upscale villa in Yongsan, Song Kyung-ah said, "I purchased my first home before getting married. I bought my first house in Samsung-dong at 22, and after owning it for over 20 years, I sold it last year. It was a villa located by the river (with a view of the Han River)," adding, "I lived in that neighborhood, so I knew how much the neighboring house was worth. I saw the real estate posters every day, and one day the house price suddenly skyrocketed, and I thought, 'I could save money and buy one.'"
After selling her Samsung-dong house after 20 years, Song Kyung-ah made a huge revenue, stating, "These days, as I'm painting, I've come to understand art prices. It feels like the skills I've learned have turned into investment strategies." She also noted, "My husband and I invest separately. He is a Korean-American from the U.S., so our concepts of economics are separate. We don't know how much each of us earns. I spend on living expenses, while my husband pays for taxes and our child's school fees."
Inside Song Kyung-ah's house, a 100-year-old European ceramic collection stood out. Purchased 10 years ago for 560,000 won, it is now worth over 1 million won. Additionally, one corner of the living room was filled with plants, and Song Kyung-ah mentioned, "One leaf of the plant costs 380,000 won. This is investment strategy," referring to plant tech.
He added, "I sell just the Monstera Albo leaves. I raised them in that way, but these kinds of leaves are hard to come by. If there is just a node, it can propagate." Everyone was left speechless at the unimaginable price.
Regarding their first meeting and marriage story, she said, "When I was 22, I was just focused on studying and working. I didn't have time to meet anyone. I went to a birthday party of an acquaintance, and someone asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I said no, that person just set us up and then ran away." She continued, "My husband didn't say a word to me when we met. I thought he wasn't interested in me because he was really tall, and usually, guys are intimidated by that. But he asked for my number first. I ended up marrying my first love, whom I met that day. We dated for 10 years and have been married for 10 years now."
The MCs then entered the dress room, and Ahn Jung-hwan remarked, "This is a store. Do you wear all of this? A model is a model," while Song Hae-na admired, "It looks like a foreign vintage shop."
Hong Hyun-hee expressed, "I want to have this bag," and Song Kyung-ah revealed, "It's the bag my husband used to propose to me with a diamond ring." She added, "I originally wanted a hat bag, but there was none available. At that time, my husband called about a bag from here and said there was one in Hong Kong. He brought it from Hong Kong and placed the diamond ring inside to propose."
Hong Hyun-hee noted, "Having a phone number means you're a VIP customer." Song Kyung-ah replied, "No, my husband has a simple style and doesn't own any luxury items. He just did that when he first called." Additionally, in response to the question, "What is Song Kyung-ah's treasured item in the dress room?" she surprised everyone by stating, "This is worth 10 million won," while pulling out a luxury brand outfit.
