On this day, Yoon Kye-sang shared his candid thoughts related to the reunion of g.o.d. Debuting in 1999, g.o.d rose to fame with several hit songs, becoming a national group. However, after the conclusion of their fifth album activities and the expiration of their contract with their agency, g.o.d entered a long hiatus, during which Yoon Kye-sang left the group and they continued as a four-member group.
Later, Yoon Kye-sang rejoined, and in 2014, g.o.d reunited as a complete group by releasing the single 'The Ugly Duckling' after 12 years.
Yoon Kye-sang said, "When we reunited, it was actually a really difficult time. The reason I returned to g.o.d was actually due to various reasons, and through a lot of struggles and thoughts, I reminisced about home and missed the members. During those times, I always feel like I have to choose a daunting option. That's life. Then the results seem to come. That's probably what the reunion of g.o.d was about."
He added, "I was very scared, but when I tried, it came like a gift. Just like in 'The Outlaws.' Some people said, 'You shouldn't reunite; no one will come.' But when we reunited in 2014, we were somewhat vaguely hopeful that it might go well, but we never expected it to be this good. We even performed in a main venue. It was unbelievable. That seemed to be a moment when I learned a little about the world. I have my stubbornness, but I also realized I need to see the world. I felt that I needed to see what people want."
