Koyote showcased its contrasting charm with a cheerful daily life and charismatic main job moments.
Koyote (Kim Jong-min, Shin Ji, Baekga) made its first appearance on MBC's 'Omniscient Interfering View' broadcast on the 26th at 11:10 p.m., revealing the music video shooting site of its new song and demonstrating the depth befitting the longest-running mixed group.
This broadcast also unveiled the music video shooting site for the new song 'CALL ME', further elevating expectations for the full comeback. Even in the vehicle heading to the shooting location, the members exhibited their signature quick banter, creating a cheerful atmosphere. As Shin Ji boarded, Kim Jong-min and Baekga naturally rearranged their seats, revealing the hierarchy within the team, and a scene of Shin Ji, who meticulously grasped the schedule, drew admiration with the remark, "How do you know all this?" was also aired. The manager, watching this, noted, "Shin Ji is like a strict mother figure, leading the two, and her words are mostly correct; that sense of balance seems to be the key to Koyote's longevity."
The music video shooting site was set up in an actual operational nightclub, meticulously recreating the heyday of 1990s dance music. In a set completed with detailed lighting, costumes, and props, Koyote unleashed its main job charisma, fully embodying the mood of the retro-inspired new song 'CALL ME.'
Here, parts of the choreography and song for the new track were also revealed. Koyote showcased a high-quality performance with a stable synergy that comes from years of collaboration. The panel members present in the studio and Tarzan and Annie from the All Day project couldn't hide their excitement, following along with the choreography and declaring, "The song is so good," thus proving the track's addictive quality.
When Shin Ji asked, "What do you think of the song?" Kim Jong-min confidently replied, "It's a song that fits Koyote perfectly," while Baekga expressed pride in the group's distinct style, stating, "No one but us can make this kind of song right now." Kim Jong-min hoped it would become a hit song that naturally seeps into daily life whenever it plays in gyms or on the streets, and Yang Se-hyung, watching this, added, "I think that will happen," anticipating the new song's success.
The new song 'CALL ME,' which captures Koyote's originality, is a 'RE-DM' genre that combines retro sentiment and trendy EDM, characterized by a catchy chorus. It was once again completed in collaboration with composer Choi Jun-young, who worked on Koyote's representative songs such as 'Pure Love' and 'Heartbreak,' and despite only a portion being revealed through the broadcast, it has generated high expectations.
Meanwhile, Koyote plans to release 'CALL ME' on various music sites on Aug. 6 and is set to heat up the music scene with its '2025 Koyote Festival Nationwide Tour: Fun' starting with a concert in Australia in the second half of the year. Shin Ji is preparing to marry singer Moon Won, who is seven years younger, in the first half of next year.
