They discussed the reasons for their divorces. Ji-woo noted, "I fell in love too quickly at a young age," adding, "I think I was immature as well because I made the decision to marry quickly. We had many arguments, but we couldn't overcome them. One day, my partner suddenly informed me that they wanted to break up," explaining the background of his divorce.
Ji-woo said, "A couple of months after we broke up, I found out that I had been living with someone I originally suspected. I was shocked to learn that I had built a life in the same space with someone I had a very uneasy feeling about." Moreover, it was revealed that this person was a co-worker who had been calling him "brother" and was even married. "I attended that wedding," he disclosed, adding to the shock.
Ji-woo expressed, "What hurt me even more was that they didn't even make an effort to hide it, even though it was only a couple of months." He revealed a deep sense of betrayal. Additionally, he confessed the pain of not being able to fully share with his parents about the marriage, which faced strong opposition, and having to endure it alone.
Ah-reum recalled her marriage, saying, "It flowed smoothly and calmly. I guess that means I trusted him that much?" mentioning the seemingly peaceful times external to their relationship.
When an unexpected incident cracked her trust, Ah-reum fell into deep contemplation. She posed the question to herself, "Should I continue my marriage?" and ultimately reached the conclusion, "I realized I couldn't continue my marriage with that thought in my mind."
Ah-reum eventually suggested to her ex-husband, "Let's just go our separate ways," and surprisingly added that "they reached a mutual divorce agreement within 2 to 3 months," indicating that they wrapped up their marriage relatively quickly.
