Model Song Kyung-a appeared on MBN 'Let's Go Go' and captured viewers' attention with various stories about homes reminiscent of Europe and real estate investment.
On the 26th, MBN 'Let's Go Go' season 5 featured the legendary Korean model Song Kyung-a, who has dominated the world's four major fashion weeks. She met with a real estate expert to learn about her current home and neighborhood and shared various stories about real estate investment with her junior models Song Hae-na, Jung Hyuk, and Jin Jeong-seon.
MCs Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee met with a real estate expert to learn about Yongsan, where famous celebrities like BTS's J-Hope, actor Gong Yoo, and singer Jang Yoon-jeong reside. The expert evaluated Yongsan as "a livable neighborhood," stating, "It is located in the heart of Seoul and is traditionally a prime location. There is a 90-pyeong-sized Yongsan Park and it is a wealthy area densely populated with luxury villas." Furthermore, when asked about safety, the expert remarked, "While we hope there won't be a war, this area can still be considered safe even then."
After conversing with the real estate expert, the MCs went to Song Kyung-a's home with their guest, model Song Hae-na. The house, adorned with a European-style interior completed by Song Kyung-a's careful touch, was filled with antique cabinets containing tea cups that are about 100 years old, special dishes purchased from collectors, hand-laid tiles, and handmade leather chairs, all capturing attention.
After touring the house, the MCs expressed curiosity about how Song Kyung-a and her husband met. Song Kyung-a shared, "When I was 22, I attended a friend's birthday party, and someone asked me, 'Do you have a boyfriend? Have you met anyone?' I replied, 'No,' and then suddenly that person called someone else and ran away. That was when we first met." The MCs then asked, "Did you marry your first love?" to which Song Kyung-a humorously revealed, "I did, but my husband did not."
While conversing, model Jung Hyuk and Jin Jeong-seon made a surprise appearance at the invitation of Song Hae-na, sharing their own diverse real estate investment strategies. Song Hae-na stated, "I just do deposits and savings. I've never dealt with coins or stocks. I save more than half of my revenue," and added, "I started working since I was 20, and my goal since then was a house in Gangnam. I had no interest in cars or luxury goods." Notably, she mentioned, "I bring my own lunch box to work. I also rarely take taxis, instead walking 30 minutes to save on transportation fare for my diet," which impressed everyone.
Song Kyung-a revealed, "Before I got married, at 22, I purchased my first home in Samseong-dong. I sold that house last year," surprising everyone. The MCs, amazed by her exceptional sense for real estate investment at such a young age, asked about her secret. Song Kyung-a explained, "I originally lived in that neighborhood, so I knew how much the house next door was worth. I saw the real estate signs every day. One day, I noticed that house prices were skyrocketing, and I thought, 'I could save money and buy a house,' so I did."
Finally, Jung Hyuk responded to the remark, "You seem like you do well in real estate investment," saying, "I can't not do it. I wasn't well-off when I was young," and added, "I diversify my investments, thinking, 'You shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket,' so I buy land, invest in real estate, and do stocks and coins as well." He continued, "I bought land, not a house. At that time, the real estate market was soaring; while house prices went down, the land doubled in value," sharing his unique investment philosophy and making everyone amazed. Jung Hyuk also mentioned, "Nowadays, I'm buying gold. I started purchasing it two years ago, and it keeps going up," piquing everyone's interest.
In the meantime, Ahn Jung-hwan expressed, "I give all my earnings to my wife," adding, "If I need something, I just tell her and ask for it. But I don't need anything." He reiterated, "I believe that managing money should be done by women," showcasing his affectionate side, which elicited envy. However, upon hearing this, Hong Hyun-hee quickly responded, "That's not the case in my house. Not all women are good at it. I prefer when my husband takes care of it," and added humorously, "Money just slips away from me, but my husband catches it."
