The previous life of Jung Dong-won (JD1) has been revealed.
On the 24th, the twelfth episode of Jung Dong-won's YouTube content "Gyangnamja" was released through the official YouTube channel "Jung Dong-won (JD1)." In this video, Jung Dong-won attracted attention by challenging himself to experience his past life.
Regarding the reason for his past life experience, Jung Dong-won revealed, "Could it be that I was a general in my past life? Didn't I save the nation?" He shared that he challenged this thought because "I may have been a tough guy in my past life, albeit just 'Gyangnamja' in this life." He noted that he had only slept for two hours, worried that he might not fall into hypnosis, and showed a serious demeanor by drinking tomato juice instead of coffee, demonstrating thorough readiness.
Before the experience, Jung Dong-won lightened the mood with a joke, saying, "I might have been General Lee Soon-shin in my past life," and then began the hypnosis with hypnosis expert Jang Ho. After being induced into hypnosis, he appeared to be deeply engrossed as he remained still with his arms fixed.
He retraced his memories from his current life back to his childhood, and with a countdown, faced the image of himself in his past life. The first incarnation of Jung Dong-won in his past life appeared as a foreign man in his 30s, running an apple farm while wearing jeans and sneakers. He was referred to as "Bin" in the market and described himself as an individual with an ordinary appearance.
When asked to recall a beloved figure, he mentioned a woman with braided hair wearing overalls, saying, "She is pretty." He noted that the other person liked his good nature, and the two married, having five children together. Though they were very poor, he reflected that it seemed he was happy because of his family, giving a glimpse into the warm family love of his past life.
Moving to the moment of death, Jung Dong-won said, "There are many people and children at home," and when asked if there were any regrets from that life, he admitted, "I didn't live well. I think I just worked too much."
He recalled that the person he loved most was his wife, noting she resembled his current grandmother. He mentioned that both of them seemed similar in that they had endured a lot, leaving a poignant impression.
He concluded his past life experience by saying that the most important thing he wished to carry from his past self was to "live kindly."
After struggling to open his eyes, Jung Dong-won remarked, "It's strangely starting to show little by little. I only felt that I lived very hard," adding, "It made me think that I am living comfortably because my past life was difficult. My past life seems a bit pitiful."
He then added, "In this life, I should enjoy a bit so I don't die just working. It seems I need to live without regrets," and cheerfully concluded by saying, "Surely, I was 'Gyangnamja' in my past life as well."
"Gyangnamja" is Jung Dong-won's YouTube content that captures the process of the soon-to-be adult 19-year-old Jung Dong-won, who takes on the challenge of being a tough guy. New videos are uploaded every Thursday at 6 p.m., and through various content, Jung Dong-won's diverse and new aspects are expected to be showcased.
Jung Dong-won has established himself as a "hexagonal artist" by actively participating in various fields, including activities as the K-pop idol JD1, concerts, and music releases. In March, he released his second full-length album "A Gift from the Tall Man," and successfully concluded his last national tour concert for his teenage years, titled "Donghwa (棠話)."
