Actor Park Bo Gum transformed into a music fairy in 'Cantabile.'
On the 25th, KBS 2TV's variety show 'The Seasons - Park Bo Gum's Cantabile (abbreviated as Cantabile)' featured singer 10CM, Maria Kim, Ha Hyun-sang, and the group Baby DONT Cry, presenting a colorful stage and talk as part of the 'fairy of music' special.
The 'performance fairy' 10CM opened the show with the new song 'Love is Six Lines' from their upcoming 5th album, set to be released after about 8 years. 10CM noted, "I was thinking, 'I have to sit chicly and then go,' but as soon as I saw Park Bo Gum, I couldn't help but laugh, which was embarrassing," expressing admiration for Park Bo Gum's real appearance, which made everyone laugh. When Park Bo Gum envied 10CM's guitar skills, 10CM replied, "At the end of my dream about playing piano, there is Mr. Bo Gum," and the two shared the stage for the hit song 'Hoping to Reach You,' which took the top spot on music charts, showcasing their musical chemistry.
Recently, 10CM, who has also transformed into a 'challenge fairy,' garnered a lot of attention as they performed songs from TWS, Kiss of Life, and Boynextdoor, which were part of a much-discussed vocal challenge. Previously, when Boynextdoor appeared on 'Park Bo Gum's Cantabile,' Park Bo Gum learned the 'Hak technique,' and he joined in on 10CM's live performance, perfectly matching their breath. Finally, 10CM raised expectations for the 5th album, saying, "I want to create music that feels like a convenience store, where you can listen with ease," and concluded the stage by singing the pre-released song 'Dance.'
The 11th protagonist of 'A Night of Star Gazing' was Maria Kim, Park Bo Gum's piano teacher and a 'jazz fairy.' She mentioned, "I am active in the United States and performing in other countries as well," conveying her genuine intent to promote the charm of jazz and concluded the stage with her performance of 'Please Send Me Someone to Love.'
'Youth fairy' Ha Hyun-sang brought refreshing rain to everyone weary from the summer heat with his performance of 'Monsoon.' Park Bo Gum praised Ha Hyun-sang's instrumental skills on both guitar and piano, stating, "His voice encompasses three stages. There is a boy, a youth, and a mature adult voice." Then, Ha Hyun-sang mentioned the song 'If You Are Here' by the band Loveholic, which he used to enjoy listening to during his days dreaming of becoming a musician, and he performed the song with a unique charm to Park Bo Gum's piano accompaniment. Marking the 23rd day since their debut, the 'fairies on stage' Baby DONT Cry collaborated with the house band 'Jeongmae and Kungchitachi' to present their debut song 'F Girl' in a band version. Captivating attention with their bold charm atypical of newcomers, Baby DONT Cry explained that their team name means 'not weak,' and it was personally named by Idol's So Yeon. They further shared a humorous backstory, saying, "At first, I only heard the abbreviation 'BDC' and thought it was 'Barbidoll Collection.'"
Baby DONT Cry, produced by Psy and with So Yeon from Idol as the producer, revealed that they joined P Nation based on trust in their representative, Psy. Lee Hyun shared that he appeared on SBS's 'Fantastic Duo' at the age of 12 as the 'Little IU,' performing alongside IU, and at 9, he re-performed 'If You Don't Dream' from the children's program 'Wicked,' moving everyone.
