Actor Kim Woo-seok grants to the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Dr. X: The Age of the White Mafia.'
According to OSEN's report on the 26th, Kim Woo-seok received an offer to cast for 'Dr. X: The Age of the White Mafia' recently and decided to participate after positively considering it.
'Dr. X: The Age of the White Mafia' is a medical noir work where 'Dr. X' Gye Su-jeong offers a thrilling experience by confronting an absurd reality solely with her genius surgical skills. The screenplay is by writer Pyeon Seong-geun, directed by Lee Jeong-rim, and produced by Studio Dragon and Studio S in joint production.
Kim Woo-seok plays the male lead intern Park Tae-gyeong. He returns to drama after three years since the MBC show 'Forbidden Marriage: Joseon's Marriage Ban' aired in 2022.
In particular, Kim Woo-seok has been cast opposite Kim Ji-won from tvN's record-breaking viewership drama 'Queen of Tears,' marking their first collaboration. Kim Ji-won takes on the role of the protagonist Gye Su-jeong and portrays a genius surgeon who banishes herself into a dark past.
Kim Woo-seok debuted in 2017 with the web drama 'Romance Playlist' Season 2. He later gained recognition through 'Voice 2' and 'Voice 3' and has appeared in 'Military Prosecutor Doberman,' 'You and My Police Class,' 'Youth Moonlight,' and 'Beneficial Fraud.' He is also the biological younger brother of singer Melomance's Kim Min-seok.
Meanwhile, 'Dr. X: The Age of the White Mafia' will commence its first filming in the second half of this year and is scheduled to air next year.
